The 20 kilometre trip between Flam and Myrdal offers panoramic views of Western Norway's most beautiful fjord and mountain landscape! There is no other standard-gauge, adhesion railway anywhere in the world that is steeper than the Flam Railway.
If you are lucky, you may also catch a glimpse of the naiad in the Kjosfossen waterfall; she is known for showing herself when most people are in the mountains, namely in the summer months.
The Flam valley has a lot to offer: Wild and beautiful mountain scenery with snow-covered peaks, lush fields and historical traditions all the way back to pagan times.
