Staircases, not elevators, provide access to upper floors. In addition to three pools, two hot tubs, and barbecue grills, the grounds contain two shuffleboard courts and a putting green. Though Waipouli Beach, 150 yards away, is considered unsafe for all but strong swimmers and surfers, it is a lovely walking beach, with perfect sunrise views and whale-watching opportunities during the humpback winter migration.
* An award-winning municipal golf course is three miles from the hotel; championship golf is eight miles away.
