San Pawl Hotel, situated to the north of the Island of Malta, in the popular resort of St. Paul's Bay, is only a five minutes walk from many attractions offering a comfortable, friendly atmosphere catering for families, couples and singles.
Bugibba centre situated approximately 500 metres away has many shops, bars and restaurants to offer, also one can walk down from the hotel to the promenade which takes you along the coast of St. Paul's Bay, Bugibba and Qawra.
Buses from just down the road will take you to Valletta, St. Julian's, and the more popular sandy beaches. Limestone rock beaches surround the coast of St. Paul's Bay where one can find water sports and many perfect spots for snorkelling or possibly take a diving or boat trips around the coast, or even charter a skippered yacht all for yourself.
San Pawl Hotel is also situated only a stones throw from the old fishing village of St. Paul's Bay, which still retains much of its character and charm.
This increasingly popular area of St. Paul's Bay is just 13 kilometres from Valletta. It is used to be a Maltese summer residential area and has, over recent years, developed into a flourishing tourist resort with villas, apartments, hotels and catering establishments, stretching for five kilometres from Xemxija Bay to Qawra.
Originally a little fishing village just off the islet where St. Paul reputedly shipwrecked in AD 60, St. Paul's Bay village still retains much of its traditional charm and character. There are good rocky beaches ideal for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, and which stretch along the coastline to Bugibba and Qawra.
Along the promenade there are numerous shops, bars, cafes and restaurants as well as a number of waterfront lidos offering a wide variety of water sports facilities.
The attractive countryside around the resort which stretches from the salt pans of Salina and the picturesque Wardija Heights to Manikata and Mistra Bay, is a delight to many countryside enthusiasts and hikers.
St. Paul's Bay is situated on the main bus routes to the north of the island and is an ideal base for touring the island by car and within easy reach to Cirkewwa ferry to Gozo. |
