Well known to fishermen, the rivers Slaney and Barrow are teeming with assorted fish and make for great fishing the whole year round. Bird watchers will be intrigued by the Wexford wild geese on the Wexford slobs.
Visit Wexford town which was founded by the Vikings and developed by the Normans. It's characterised by lots of narrow little streets and a long quayside. It also hosts the well known Opera Festival and is rapidly becoming a very cosmopolitan town. |
