The coral reefs, once the bane of marauding enemy ships, now attract snorkelers and scuba divers from all over the world. And the fascinating little island of Barbuda — once a scavenger’s paradise because so many ships wrecked on its reefs — is now home to one of the region’s most significant bird sanctuaries.
Another rich shopping area in St. John's is the Redcliffe Quay waterfront on the south side of town. Here, thirty-five boutiques are set around tree-shaded, landscaped courtyards.
Complimentary shuttle service transports guests around the resort. For surcharges, the resort offers shuttle service to Antigua's capital, St. John's, and to Shirley Heights, English Harbour, and Nelson’s Dockyard. On-site shopping can be enjoyed at a delicatessen and a gift shop, which sells sundries, souvenirs, logo items, and beachwear.
* Catamaran cruises to nearby islands, sunset cruises, deep-sea fishing trips, glass-bottom boat tours, and snorkeling/kayaking excursions are available for surcharges at the resort's dock. An on-site dive shop can arrange scuba diving courses, certification, and trips. The tour desk can help with horseback riding and tee times. Jolly Harbour Golf Club is 16 km (10 miles) and Cedar Valley Golf Course is 19 km (12 miles) from the hotel. |

Or they can head to the health-and-beauty spa building for massages plus mud wraps, scrubs, facials, waxing, and hair and nail care (surcharges for all spa products, services, and treatments). A daily program provides supervised activities for children ages 2–12 (children must be toilet-trained).
* The resort's air-conditioned casino opens nightly with Caribbean poker, roulette, blackjack, craps, and slot machines. A dress code is followed in the casino, Jacaranda Bar, and restaurant dinner period. It requires long pants, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes for men.
* Rainbow Garden - Open-air restaurant with covered and terrace seating. International dishes. Breakfast and lunch buffets with menu option. À la carte dinners except for Monday night’s Gala Buffet with international food and live calypso music. Children’s menus for lunch and dinner.
